Have you seen one of these and thought it is a close replica? We thought so too when a customer looking at the Where's Waldo playing card we have in store. They are actually the same character but call differently in different country. The title was first released in 1987 by illustrator Martin Handford. In Australia we know it as Where's Wally, but in the United States it is call Where's Waldo. After a customer asked us this question we did some research and the answer is no. Did you know there were the Eastern Market on the corner of Bourke and Exhibition Street and the Western Market on the corner of William and Collins Street, both operated between the 1840s to 1960s. The construction of the Queen Victoria Market only first started in 1868, and at the time there are also South Melbourne Market and Prahran Market already in operation.
