Mu Shop ("we", "our", or "us") operates https://mushop.com.au. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms are intended to ensure both parties are aware of and agree to the shipping arrangements and expectations associated with our service.

1. General

All orders are subject to stock availability.

We make every effort to maintain accurate inventory levels on our website. However, from time to time there may be stock discrepancies. If an item you have ordered is unavailable, we will contact you to discuss the available options, including:

  • Waiting for the item to be restocked;

  • Receiving a refund for the unavailable item; or

  • Shipping the available items immediately.

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of the items in your order.

The shipping cost displayed at checkout is the final shipping charge payable by the customer.

Australia Domestic Shipping

We use Australia Post and other selected carriers for deliveries within Australia.

Local Delivery

Selected Melbourne suburbs may be eligible for local delivery by our own driver. Availability and applicable charges will be displayed during checkout.

International Shipping

We ship to many countries worldwide. International shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and parcel weight.

If your country is not listed during checkout, please contact us using the chat box located at the bottom left corner of our website and we will provide a shipping quotation where possible.

3. Delivery Terms

3.1 Domestic Transit Times

Domestic deliveries typically arrive within 2–7 business days after dispatch, depending on the destination and carrier.

3.2 International Transit Times

International deliveries generally arrive within 4–22 business days after dispatch. Delivery times vary by destination country and shipping method selected.

3.3 Dispatch Times

Orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 business days after payment has been received.

As stock is held across multiple store locations, some items may require transfer between stores before they can be shipped. In these cases, additional processing time may be required before dispatch.

Mu Shop does not operate every weekday, therefore orders may not be processed or dispatched daily. Dispatch times may also be longer during public holidays, peak trading periods, store closures, or other unforeseen circumstances.

3.4 Change of Delivery Address

Delivery addresses may be changed at any time before an order has been dispatched.

Once an order has been shipped, we may be unable to modify the delivery address.

3.5 PO Box Deliveries

We can ship to PO Box addresses using postal services where available.

Courier services and local delivery services are generally unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

3.6 Out of Stock Items

If an item becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we may:

  • Ship the available items and refund the unavailable item; or

  • Contact you to discuss alternative arrangements.

3.7 Delayed Deliveries

If your parcel has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us and we will assist in investigating the shipment with the carrier.

4. Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing tracking information where available.

Tracking updates are provided by the shipping carrier and may take time to appear after dispatch.

5. Parcels Damaged in Transit

If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where possible, retain all packaging materials and take photographs of both the parcel and damaged contents. These may be required for carrier investigations.

6. Duties and Taxes

6.1 Australian GST

GST is included in prices displayed on our website where applicable.

6.2 International Duties and Taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, import fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country.

These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost unless otherwise stated.

If an international shipment is refused because duties or taxes are not paid, any refund may be reduced by the original shipping cost, return shipping cost, and any fees incurred by us.

7. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch.

Once an order has been dispatched, cancellations may no longer be possible and the order will be subject to our Returns Policy.

8. Insurance and Lost Parcels

Parcels may be covered by the carrier's insurance policies, subject to their terms and conditions.

8.1 Damaged Parcels

Where a carrier investigation confirms that a parcel was damaged in transit, we will arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, repair, or refund.

8.2 Lost Parcels

Where a carrier investigation confirms that a parcel has been lost in transit, we will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Returns & Refund Policy

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Returns Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Change of Mind Returns

We offer change-of-mind returns within 7 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a change-of-mind return:

  • The item must be unused and in original condition;

  • The item must be returned with original packaging;

  • Proof of purchase must be provided;

  • You must contact us within 7 days of receiving the item;

  • The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Change-of-mind returns are not available for products that have been used, damaged by the customer, or returned outside the return period.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, not as described, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.

Depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, we may provide:

  • A repair;

  • A replacement;

  • A refund; or

  • Another appropriate remedy.

Photos may be requested to assist with assessing the issue.

If a return is approved, we will provide instructions on how to return the item.

Please do not return items without contacting us first.

Return Shipping Costs

For change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Original shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.

For faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied products, we will comply with our obligations under Australian Consumer Law and may cover reasonable return shipping costs where applicable.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as Mu Shop cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned for change of mind:

  • Gift cards;

  • Downloadable software products;

  • Food and perishable goods;

  • Personal care items where hygiene considerations apply;

  • Products that have been opened where hygiene or safety concerns apply.

This does not affect any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be granted where appropriate, including:

  • Items returned in a condition different from how they were supplied;

  • Items with missing parts not caused by our error;

  • Products showing signs of use beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them.

Refunds

Once a returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within approximately 7 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

Shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

Sale Items

Sale and clearance items may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.

However, sale items remain covered by Australian Consumer Law and may be eligible for repair, replacement, or refund where required by law.
