Please complete with other products from this series. Can be washed in a machine on the top shelf at a maximum of 50 degrees, but cannot be microwaved. Melamine is a hard plastic that can crack when dropped and hit. At the first sign of cracks, replace the product. The product is manufactured in a very fine factory which is certified by BSCI for good and safe working conditions. Tove Jansson (1914-2001) was born in a real artist's home and learned to draw almost before she learned to walk. In 1918, in the midst of a raging civil war, her father wrote home from the front "Maybe one day Tove will become a real artist, maybe a really big one" Tove Jansson is loved all over the world for her books about the Moomins and is known as an illustrator, artist and writer. In addition to her own books, she also illustrated e.g. J.R.R. Tolkien's Bilbo and Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Toven Jansson has been awarded a number of fine awards for his creation. Rätt Start has been manufacturing children and baby products with motifs from Tove Jansson's fairy tales about the Moomins since 2002.
